A skilled boat builder designing an electrical propulsion system is like
Asking a chef to design a portable power plant so he can cook.

This project aims to develop a commercially viable electric propulsion package for boat builders by providing a proven affordable electric propulsion system to them.
  • Boat builders do what they are really good at… and, in whatever form suits their expertise.
  • Safiery, together with Bosch can supply a proven integrated electric propulsion system that has the best range and performance for a 6-7m boat in the world.
To validate this concept, we are building a “reference boat” fully fitted out and will log the performance results. This will give selected boat builders the weight distribution, expected performance and other design characteristics to enable them to build affordable boats. The reference sample boat is named “ZERO4EVER”. The boat will be a plain “wrapper” of a boat. It’s what’s inside we are focussing on. The Gold Coast can be the leader in electric propulsion recreational boats. The 400kms of waterways and 40,000 existing recreational boats creates the opportunity to do this.
