Dont worry about number of cycles in life of Lithium battery:

  1. One Cycle is contiguous use to 100% battery capacity.
  2. Lets assume boat use every weekend of a year. That is 50 cycles a year if battery is used 100% on weekend.
  3. Target battery has 1500 cycle life. That’s 30 years at 50 a year. Your kids will inherit the battery.

Intercooled and Doubly Insulated Battery

Queensland made solid state battery:

Battery module case has integrated radiator jacket suitable for liquid cooling.

Each Battery module is double insulated and IP6k9K suitable for the wet hull of a boat.

Battery module has integrated copper heat transfer between the wafers to the integrated radiator jacket.

Each battery module is 400 x 300 x 250 and weighs 20kg.

Provisional Patent Applies on proprietary battery design.

Battery Wafers are Solid State NCM 360Wh/kg as supplied to EV manufacturers.

Nominal Voltage for each module is 38-63V with a comfortable 1C charge/discharge rate.

Each Battery Module will have an energy capacity of 5,644Wh.

Nominal design is 6 modules in series and 4 to 6 strings in parallel for a 400V system with range from 240V to 408V.

Each Battery Module has Cell Monitoring Unit which are connected to a single BMS.

BMS is European Automotive compliant to ASIL-D with all the approvals.

The all in one ISO26262 ASIL D BMS platform ready to protect and extend battery life in automotive, marine and energy storage applications.

Automotive grade BMS platform with integrated insulation monitoring system, capable of managing batteries up to 1500V and with off-the-shelf 18s cell monitoring units. The system is ISO26262 ASIL D ready and includes EVITA HSM for ISO21434 cybersecurity standard.
